TESTING THE 2-WAY

The BUZZBAR® 2-Way pallet puller & turner was designed specifically to work with 2-way entry stringer pallets. The capacity for this puller is conservatively rated at turning 2000 lbs. and straight pulling 3200 lb. pallet loads over cement.

TEST RESULTS

In one continous pull ( 1 ) BUZZBAR turned (180°) and pulled a 2090 lb. load across a cement floor on a new 30" x 30" 2-way stringer ( 2000 lb. safe load capacity ) pallet. Straight in line pulling pulled 3200 lb. pallet loads.

WARNING!
Over loading pallets beyond there safe load capacity is not recommended. This demonstration was to test the structural strength of the puller it self, not the links, chain or the pallet.

When 5000 lbs. of steel coil was placed on the 30" x 30" pallet the ( 1 ) BUZZBAR® 2-Way puller slid itself in between and through the joining area of the stringer board and the lower deck board. The nails were pulled forward parallel to the floor, but left the stringer board and the lower deck board still in place and intact. There was no slingshot effect after the BUZZBAR passed between the boards, just a safe slow continuous pull on the chain.

Decisions, Decisions
In the photo above we show the 6 positions a BUZZBAR® 2-Way pallet puller can be connected to on each end of a 2-way pallet. That's a total of 12 hook-up positions. All you need is one. You can either slide the cradle under the stringer board to connect or curl the cradle over the top of the stringer board as shown. We recommend the lower center position to be your first and strongest choice.

For handling stringer pallets with extremely heavy weight loads you can use both top and bottom positions at the same time ( as circled in previous photo ) using ( 2 ) pullers linked together with a short chain as shown above.

The BUZZBAR® 2-Way :
A. Handles up to 1.75" thick stringer boards.
B. Works inside a 1.75" minimum height between the upper and lower deck boards.
C. Works with a minimum .50" deck board thickness.

BUZZBAR® Pallet pullers are to be used with proof coil chain and not to be used for lifting. For maximum pulling with minimum chain weight we recommend 5/16" proof coil chain.
