W8UZZ - High Performance Capacitance Hat "Kits"
You can now build your own 8-Spoke or 16-Spoke encircled
Capacitance Hat for that Screwdriver or base station
antenna with a complete kit from W8UZZ.
All parts are provided and ready to assemble. Center hubs, Spokes,
Perimeter Connectors and Perimeter Rods are precut and made
from high quality 6061-T6 aluminum material. Hub and Perimeter
Connectors are CNC machined for consistent size and fit. It can
be assembled in minutes with the provided Stainless Steel Set
Screws and Short Arm Hex Key.
8-Spoke Capacity Hat Kit = $ 100.00
( For kits up to 36" dia.) Includes:
· (1) Single Hub
· (8) Perimeter connectors
· ( 8) 3/16" dia. Spokes
· (8) 1/8" dia. Perimeter rods
· (32) #8-32 x 3/16" stainless steel set screws
· (1) short arm 5/64 Hex Key.
· (1) 3/8-24 x 1.50 lg. Stainless Steel Set Screw Center Stud
The kits will definitely increase your radiation resistance. Also the Perimeter Connectors
are pre-machined for optional Cylindrical stacking or adding peddles to the perimeter for
greater capacitance down the road.

For major gains in capacitance, 1/8 inch diameter (aluminum or S.S.) rods x 36 inch long can be bent, inserted
and set screwed into the radial connectors of the 16 Spoke Cap Hat as shown above without any additional
modifications. All you will need are the rods and a couple of minutes. Call for more info.
